China’s work permit requirement for Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan jobseekers on the mainland set to be abolished

It will be easier for Hongkongers working on mainland China to change jobs or move between cities there in future, after Beijing announced on Friday it would abolish a work permit requirement for employees from the city, Macau and Taiwan. The change means workers from the three places no longer need additional documentation to take up jobs on the mainland and companies can also escape tedious application procedures. Previously, they would have to help workers submit up to 10 items of paperwork...
